Our History
Sick visits: Schedule a same day sick appointment if you child is ill or a later appointment for non-urgent problems. See below for emergency calls when the office is called.
Well visits: We will send you reminders when it is time to schedule a well visit. These visits are important to screen for developmental delays, physical health issues, and mental / academic problems. Children must be up to date with their physicals in order to get prescription refills, forms completed, and referrals to specialists. You can request a specific provider if desired.
Infants have well visits regularly: newborn visit, weight check, 1 month, 2 month, 4 month, 6 month, 12 month, 15 month, 18 month, 24 month, 30 month, 36 month.
Children over three years need well visits at least once a year.
Phone consult: Schedule or call for a phone consult to discuss a problem with a provider. There may be a co-pay charged with a phone consult, depending on your insurance.
Child development: Schedule to discuss questions about your child's development (i.e. potty-training, tantrums, sleep problems, picky eating).
Mental health: Schedule an evaluation for anxiety, depression, or ADHD. We do evaluations and medication management.
Lactation services: Jo Ann Serota is a retired lactation consultant and provides counseling on breast feeding techniques.
Ear piercing: Schedule an ear piercing appointment for children five and above.
Getting to know you: Schedule an appointment to meet with a provider, ask your questions, and tour the office. See if we're a good fit for you.
Driver's exam: new driver's may need an exam to get their permit if their last well visit was before age fifteen and a half. Insurance often does not pay for this service, as it is different from a yearly well visit. Cost is $60 and includes the permit form.
Emergency call: If you have an urgent question for the doctor and the office is closed, you can always reach us on our emergency line. Simply call the normal office number, and select the option for the emergency line. Leave a message and a provider will promptly return your call. We will provide advice for managing illness, recommend follow-up in the office if appropriate, or refer you to a pediatric urgent care / ED if necessary.
