Vaccine Schedules

The schedule of administration of vaccines is promolgated by the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and published by its Advisory Committe on Immunization Practices (ACIP). The American Academy of Pediatrics then reviews the data upon which this schedule is based and issues (usually) concurring recommendations for all Pediatricians and Family Physicians who care for children to follow. These are well known now for the vaccines in general use. Keep in mind that there is no doubt that the benefits, the prevention of terrible diseases, far exceeds the risks.
